Battle of the Ancients Founded: Nov/Dec, 2000 Founded by: Shazdrazo aka Sharon Opening Date: Nov/Dec 2000 Reason Opened: Shazdraco was a member of Digital Delilah when they suddenly closed, and after a short time she missed the fun of a website competition. Her mother, Maralyn, then had the idea for Sharon to start her own, and so a short time later Battle of the Ancients was born. VE or NVE: Vote Exchange Slogan: Unknown Original Ideas: Unknown History: Mostly Unknown, however in July of 2005 the Bards of Fortune and A Womens World competitions both merged with the Battle of the Ancients. At the beginning of September, 2006 it was announced that the comp was shutting down due to lack of staff. Around a week or two after this announcement, Maralyn, Sharon's mother and one of the BOTA's staff members, decided to re-open and manage the comp, just in a smaller format with only five teams.
